Alberta Class 4 practice test and Commercial Driver's Guide
Driving for Uber, Lyft, a taxi company, a limousine service or a small bus in Alberta needs a Class 4 licence, and the Class 4 knowledge test comes first. Read the official Commercial Driver's Guide here, then practise registry-style questions on passenger safety, pre-trip inspections, hours of service and air brakes.
How the Class 4 knowledge test works
- Taken at any Alberta registry agent; multiple choice, from the Commercial Driver's Guide.
- You must hold a Class 5 (non-GDL) licence first and pass a medical.
- Passing the knowledge test lets you book the Class 4 road test.
